Old Bull and Bush & the Holly Bush

I got invited to a girls night out with a great mix of women from Britian, Canada, Spain, and the US. Dinner and drinks were at the Old Bull and Bush located in Golders Green, which is close to Hampstead. The pub is one of London's oldest and most famous dating back to 1645 when it was a farmhouse. It received a license to sell ale in 1721 and quickly became a hangout for artists and literary figures. It was a fantastic night out! Great conversation, good food and wine, what a great way to enjoy London and finally feel like I have some friends!

Jeremy and I have also both recently been to the Holly Bush pub also in Hampstead on seperate occasions. I was there with the Hampstead Women's Club Ladies Night Out group in which we dined upstairs, which is more upscale and elegant. Jeremy has been there twice with a group called Boyz n' da Bush (husband's of women in the Hampstead Women's Club). This group meets monthly and is a great networking group for the men. The Holly Bush is a very traditional pub and is also one of the older pubs in London dating from the time when Hampstead was a country town.

Jeremy has also been to a handful of other pubs for work related functions throughout London and has enjoyed them all. Pubs seem to be a way of life, a place where the locals can hang out after a hard days work and drink a pint or two. Cheers!
